Ask anyone about football outside of America, and they’ll immediately begin to tell you about their favorite team. No, not the Steelers, Cowboys, Niners, or Patriots, but Real Madrid, Barca, Manchester United and Liverpool. The Beautiful Game is the world’s most popular sport and is fast rising to prominence here in America, too. The physical fitness, deft touch with the ball, and certain amount of flair required to play the game is astounding. Soccer has gained a foothold in the hearts of Americans now, with the continued rise in popularity with the MLS and USA’s most recent showing at the World Cup. And since many Americans are adopting teams overseas as “their” teams to follow, it comes as no surprise that many of the blogs nominated and ultimately receiving our for having the best content are for teams abroad.
