With the recent disaster around the Gulf Coast, there has been a heightened awareness to the well being of our environment. Ecosystems that were once thriving now struggle to sustain life. While these areas may never recover, that doesn’t mean that the importance of trying is diminished. Shelters for hurt or oil covered animals are vital, and all methods to assist them should be utilized. At the same time, while rushing in to help without understanding how the ecosystem operated in the first place could end up being more detrimental than helpful. So we’ve taken the liberty to compile these top blogs, not only for you to have a better understanding of the animals affected, but an appreciation for how important these forms of life are to the overall health of our Earth.
