Human evolution is the biological evolution of the human race from primates. Scientists generally agree that homo sapiens evolved from chimpanzees approximately 5 to 7 million years ago. Also there were other species of homo sapiens such as homo sapiens neanderthalensis and homo erectus that are now extinct.
