Post University

Post University is a small university located in Waterbury, Connecticut with the satellite centers and an online education program. Since 1890, Post University has been a student-focused, career-driven institution with a strong commitment to helping students reach their personal and professional objectives. Post offers its approximately 2,600 students close to 40 programs for associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees and graduate and professional certificates.

Post University is the first school in Connecticut and New England to offer fully online certified and accredited accelerated degree programs. It is currently the largest provider of online education in Connecticut, although its online students log in from around the nation.

Admission

For students applying to undergraduate programs, they need to either 1) contact their high school and request that it forward their official school record, or 2) forward their GED high-school equivalency test scores to Post's Office of Admissions.

Transfer college students who have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher from an accredited two-year or four-year educational institution, may transfer credits from courses with a grade of C- or above.

Admission to the graduate programs at the University is based on the applicant's academic record. Generally, students applying to graduate programs at Post must have: In addition, some programs require students to submit a typed personal statement with their application. And in some cases, a personal interview may be required for entry.

  1. Accelerated Program. Students studying in one of Post's online programs can finish a bachelor's degree in 18 months or a master's degree in 12-24 months with the University's 8-week accelerated courses that are offered six times every year.
