Originally founded with the express goal of providing students with the education required to succeed in the computer industry,
Herzing University has since grown from a single institute in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to an eight-state eleven-campus system that offers degrees in more than 30 programs. In 2009, Herzing College became Herzing University.
Herzing, which has approximately 5,000 students, also has an online division.
Accreditation
Herzing University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Herzing also holds specific accreditation from the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools for its medical assisting programs.

Admission
All applicants to Herzing University should have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum score on the school's entrance assessment.
Those applying to graduate school, will also need either a 2.7 minimum GPA at the undergraduate level, a minimum of 500 on the GMAT, or GRE scores of 450 verbal and 450 quantitative reasoning. Students with a GPA less than 2.7 are offered conditional admission.
In addition to these requirements, a review committee will also consider the recommendation of the Admissions Advisor and whether or not the applicant displays motivation.
