Texas offers online education for grades 3-10. Students residing in Regions I-XIV and Region XX are allowed to enroll in the online programs, but check with your Region to see your opportunities. Core classes include science, social studies, math, music and art. Depending on the grade level, students are also required to take a physical education class. Gifted students are accelerated on a case-by-case basis and those with individualized education plans are allowed to tailor their curriculum. Texas law requires students to attend 1,080 hours of instruction per school year.
