Illinois offers online courses for K-11 via the Chicago Virtual Charter School. The core classes include art, history, science, math and language arts. Students may also take electives like foreign languages. No home visits are required by Illinois law, however the state does require students meet with teachers at least four times a year. This school cannot enroll students previously expelled from other Illinois public schools. These are the primary tests given to students: Illinois Standards Achievement Test (3-8), Illinois Measure of Annual Growth in English (3-8), DIBELS (K-8), EXPLORE (8-11), ACCESS and PLAN.
