Florida offers online public schooling for K-12. The state’s core class requirements are science, history, language arts, music, art, and math. Physical education is also mandatory for students. All teachers are certified and meet state standards regarding background checks. Students in grades K-3 must attend 720 hours of instruction a year and those in 4-8 must receive 900 hours a year. Florida also mandates all students be tested yearly assessments to measure learning performance.
