Division
The inverse of multiplication is division. The sign used for division is (รท). For example, when you divide 15 by 5 the answer is 3. 15 is called the dividend, 5 is called the divisor and the answer 3 is called the quotient. When teaching division, it is also necessary to teach students about fractions, because you may divide with numbers that leave you with a quotient and also a remainder.
