World War II
Between 1939 and 1945 the deadliest war in history took place. Nearly every significant power in the world participated on the Allied or Axis forces, resulting in close to 70 million causalities. WWII began with Germany invading Poland and then the Soviet Union. USA was pulled into the war after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor in its campaign to control all of South and East Asia. WWII ended when American forces defeated the Japanese naval efforts and soon after the Allies captured Berlin in 1945. In this war there was significant attacks against civilians from the Holocaust and use of nuclear bombs. These videos below will teach you more about WWII.
